Estée Lauder got themselves a spanking new makeup director to give this American brand some Parisian glamor. Tom Pecheux, face painter extraordinaire, shares some of his favorite makeup tips that are so easy, they’ll make you say ooh la la! (*snort*, couldn’t help myself.)
Lower lash love
Instead of coating your lower lashes with black mascara, which can look too heavy, use a blue or brown one to add intensity.
My, what big eyes you have
To make eyes look bigger and the whites look whiter, use blue eye shadow. Just dab a touch right above the pupil to get the effect without the full on color.
The best tools in life are free
Despite what anyone tells you, you do not need a million makeup brushes to create a polished look. Pecheux’s favorite tool for softening harsh lines? Finger tips or cotton swabs and a bit of translucent powder.
A cheeky glow
To give cheeks a inner glow look, Pecheux dabs his blush brush in a bit of pearly gold and silver eye shadows and applies this to the apples of the cheeks.
Be a naughty girl
Sleep in your eyeliner and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the perfect smoky eye! (I’ve done this before. I love it!)
Chic morning ’til night
Instead of wearing flats during the day and heels at night, wear a small heel all day. It looks more chic. (A wedge is my favorite way to wear “heels” during the day)
Perfection doesn’t kill beauty, but it does kill charm. Allow your hair to be a little imperfect. – Tom Pecheux
